Hello there,
Welcome back to Military History at Suite 101. This week we have posted a military biography on the "Bloody Baron" General Ungern-Sternberg who blazed a trail of corpses across Siberia and Mongolia in the 1920's.
Intrestingly enough, his persona was borrowed to help shape the background of several mythical characters. For instance, the background of Lamont Cranston aka 'The Shadow' was largely taken from the barons bloody tale. By all means, I'd love it if you could stop by and take a read.

Moving into next week, its time to travel a little further back in time than the 20th Century. Stay tuned and as we visit a place called Thermopylae and learn the meaning of "Molon Lebe"!
