We continue our weapon of the month series with four more articles on the primary weapon of warfare for the past four thousand years, that of the Sword

Hello and thanks for stopping by again. We continue our look at the weapon of the month by covering the sword.

Our Fourth article in the series is on the immense, almost comically large two-handed swords of the high middle ages. These swords have seen much more combat in Hollywood in the fictional Highlander series and their imitators and in the smoky game rooms of fantasy role players than they ever did on the actual battlefield.

Our series concludes with a look at the sword from the 1700s until today. The main use is for ceremony with the last enemy for the sword on the battlefield apparently being that of the wedding cake

In closing, a quote from Benjamin Dana

" There has been opposition to every innovation in the history of man, with the possible exception of the sword"
